The standings of competing teams in Euro 2024 as Scotland are one win away from celebration.
Who could qualify tonight?
From group A, Scotland have showed fierce determination to reach the top.
Undefeated, Steve Clarke’s boys have 15 points ahead of tonight’s game.
That’s six more than their main rivals in the group, the three-time European-champions Spain.
The squad managed to pull off a 2-0 win against the Spaniards in their last encounter and are hoping for a repeat result.
A win for captain Andy Robertson and the rest of the team would seal the deal. We’ll find out tonight if Scots should book their flights to Germany.
If we look outside group A, we can see the other teams that are sure to qualify and stand in Scotland’s way of claiming the trophy.
France is sitting on the cusp alongside the Scots with 15 points to their name. They need a win against the Netherlands tomorrow to see them through.

Our neighbours England, have an impressive 13 points putting then in pole position in group C.
On October 17 they will face off against Italy, the team that got the better of them in the Euro 2020 finals.
Like France, a win would guarantee them a spot and if results go Ukraine’s way, the Azzurri might need to qualify via the playoffs.
Finally, Portugal could also be tough opponents later on as they stand with a mighty 18 points in group J after their 1-0 win against Slovakia on Friday. Defeat for Luxembourg against Iceland and a point for Portugal or even three will guarantee them entry to Germany.
In a separate twist, Sweden could be one of the biggest teams not to qualify if they lose away to Belgium on Monday (15th).

Who’s already out?
Unfortunately for some, qualifying is an impossible feat at this point.
Teams no longer in contention:
- Cyprus
- Malta
- Latvia
- Estonia
- Azerbaijan
- San Marino
- Andorra
- Liechtenstein
Teams performing poorly in the Euro 2024 qualifiers but still could make the playoffs via their Nations League performance
- Gibraltar
- The Faroe Islands
These teams will have to wait until the World Cup qualifiers before they have another chance to stand on the world stage.
