Harry and Meghan Markle’s new Netflix programme aired its first three episodes last Thursday. The British public has been deciphering a whole wave of claims that have been made by the Duke and Duchess so far in this series. The Royal family have decided not to comment on the allegations made on what could be the most streamed event of the year.

Royal experts have stated that the trailer for the show used footage from paparazzi chasing down other famous people and not the Sussexes. This comes after claims that both Harry and Meghan were constantly harassed by the press.

Netflix is the creator of the Crown, a show that claims to tell the history of the Royal family and its inner workings. The Crown has been accused of being misleading by multiple sources close to the royals.

In a clip Meghan stated she did not know how to curtsy. Later, she can be seen mocking a curtsy she made in front of Harry’s grandmother the late Queen Elizabeth II. She also claimed to have had to research the national anthem on Google and was not shown any royal etiquette. Harry said the lack of support was from Buckingham Palace was ‘just ridiculous’.

Royal sources have said this was a ‘total lie’ and that Meghan was presented with a detailed list about her future role complete with access to a list of experts who could help her.

Reporter Megyn Kelly recently called Meghan: “the Duchess of duplicity”.

Meghan also claims she was not allowed to invite a couple of her family members to her wedding. She said Kensington palace aides advised her not to invite her niece Ashleigh. In the programme, Ashleigh, an immigration lawyer, said she was left feeling ‘hurt’ by the decision.

A source told the Sunday Times: ‘That just didn’t happen. We never gave any advice, steer or guidance on who of her family or friends should or shouldn’t come.’

The Royal family were contacted in advance of the documentary being released. Kensington Palace reportedly confirmed they did receive an email from a third party production company from an unknown organization’s address attempting to verify its authenticity with Archewell productions and Netflix but never received a response.

The remaining three episodes of the series are set to drop this Thursday 15th.
