The winner of the Glasgow mock by-election is announced with very close results

It happened just before two o’clock this afternoon, the results have been counted between three very competitive and outstanding individuals, Gary Denver (Progress Party), Emily Moore (Tomorrow Party) and Patryk Witkowski (Vision Party). Each have been battling it out to win over the votes in an ongoing mock by-election which today, came to an end and the results were in.

The winner is Emily Moore of the Tomorrow Party

There were emotions running high in the room as her name was read out. She was over the moon to to be elected and stood at the front of the room and made a very sweet and passionate speech saying “Thank you all for voting for me, this is a very prestigious privilege, thank you very much”.

For over a week people were casting their votes between three outstanding candidates and in the end we bow our heads to Emily Moore who won the hearts of those first and second years who have been inspired by her enthusiasm for a better tomorrow.

We are keen to know what ideas Emily has in store for her voters in the coming weeks and months as her passion, determination and enthusiasm shone right through and it has paid off.

The two other contenders, Gary Denver (Progress) and Patryk Witkowski (Vision) were both proud and supportive when Emily gained her recognition. Both of their results were very close together but in the end it could not compete with the Tomorrow Party.

People will be looking to Emily for inspiration and wanting to know if she has any more amazing, bright ideas that will be an asset to them, and her colleagues who also have sparked their interests in her chosen laws especially when she knows they are close to her heart and local to the people who elected her.

Her three key policies are offering online GP appointments 24 hours a day, ensuring best value for council tax payers, and protecting and enhancing our urban and natural environment to improve public health and wellbeing.
