A Govan community group which celebrates its 9th century roots has held its first spring arts festival since the Covid pandemic.
Galgael is an organisation committed to helping the local community of Govan, but it also played a big role in the founding of the Govan Free State.
I spoke to someone representing the Govan Free State to get a better understanding on what it is and what it stands for.
“We no longer find it reasonable to put our faith elsewhere. There is no one coming. There is only us. And for us that means each other in Greater Govan on Glasgow’s South Side.”
