“I want a bag of cans, I want Brendan Rodgers back at Celtic, and I want a job!” Police engaged in bizarre armed siege.

Police have arrested a man after he armed himself with an unknown weapon and blockaded himself in a flat in Paisley, before shouting a series of demands out of the window to armed Police below.

A clip of the man has been circulated on Twitter, where it has been viewed almost two hundred thousand times.

In the clip, the man can be heard demanding “a bag of cans, Brendan Rodgers back, and a job too.”

A police spokesperson told the Daily Record that the man was arrested and charged after midnight on Monday.

A Police spokesperson told the Record: “At 11.15pm on Monday, March 18, officers received reports of a male causing a disturbance on Springbank Road, Paisley.

“Armed police and a negotiator were dispatched to the scene. “At 00.05 a 31-year-old man was detained and taken for hospital assessment. “

No one was injured. The 31-year-old was then arrested and charged. A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
