Game of Thrones may be gone from our screens, but The Cathouse in Glasgow gives fans the ultimate gift.
For one night only, the iron throne is put back together, and there for the taking…of photos.
While many of us are still coming to terms with the season finale, the Cathouse Rock Club in Glasgow hosted a GOT quiz night that let us all live in blissful ignorance once more. We caught up with some fans of the show to find out their reaction to the season finale.
The night went down well for customers and staff alike, and the competition was stiff for the fancy dress portion of the night. The success of the event has inspired the Cathouse to consider making the quiz nights a regular feature.
The Glasgow club brought in a life-sized replica of the iron throne for fans to take home a little piece of screen history, and there were cash prizes up for grabs for the quiz and best dressed GOT inspired character, not to mention themed cocktails that even Tormund Giantsbane would find hard to stomach.
Reaction to the season’s end was invariably less enthusiastic than it perhaps should have been for a show with such an impressive eight-year run. However, it was clear on the night that the show will be much admired for years to come.
