On a warm sunny Friday Morning, the annual Walk of Witness took place leaving from Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Cardonald with a service then processed down Paisley Road West, with a stop for prayer and reflection at Cardonald Library before heading to its destination of Cardonald Parish Church.
The Walk of Witness procession was assisted by Police Scotland who done an excellent job of helping the procession take place and keeping the people walking the down the road safe, and out of the way of traffic.

Jesus was crucified on Good Friday on the Hill of Calvary by the Romans, and that’s why the Walk of Witness takes place: is it commemorating the walk that Jesus did before his crucifixion before resurrecting back from the dead three days later brought the gift of forgiveness and eternal life to all who would receive it.
At the Walk of Witness destination at Cardonald Parish Church, many people that took part in the procession went into the church for a service, with no seats to be had in the church many stood around the pews to praise there risen saviour.
