Howdy! The Clyde Insider is back with more of the stories that matter. Staffed by first year journalism students at the Cardonald Campus of Glasgow Clyde College – we’ll be hitting you with our articles and, hopefully, some very exciting projects in the future.

Firstly, let’s introduce you to the people who make The Clyde Insider tick. Our Editorial team is…

ASHLEY BRANKIN: EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

News run fast these days, but we at Clyde Insider run faster. Expect to read great in-depth features, impartial sports updates, fabulous lifestyle &entertainment reviews, strong politics analysis and , of course,  news you can understand.

ERIC LYRIOS: ENTERTAINMENT EDITOR

Entertainment & Lifestyle are a reflection of who we are as a society. What we read, what we buy, what we care about. So count on my team to be one step ahead at all times, to let you know first what everyone will be obsessed with.

CHRISTOPHER DODDS: SPORTS EDITOR

Sport is a big part of many a culture. Here at ClydeInsider Sport, we aim to cover most of the local area, Scotland and the rest of the world. Catch up with the weekend’s events, fans opinions and relatable stories from Football, Rugby, Ice Hockey and sport events going on around the college campus. Sit back, and enjoy the joy of world sport. ClydeInsider Style.

BILLY MCFADYEN: POLITICAL EDITOR

Our politics team here at the Clyde Insider is Ramsay; who enjoyed the comfortable trappings of a middle-class island lad growing up. Myself; a working class Paisley Buddy, and Hamid; Eastern European immigrant and former political prisoner in Iran. We will strive to bring you subjective political coverage, that won’t just keep you informed but hopefully make you laugh too.

SCOTT NICOL: DEPUTY EDITOR AND HEAD OF ADVERTISING

Student’s bring a new, fresh perspective to news and events. I will work together with my team to maximise potential and create good content.

MARY IBIYEMI: SUB-EDITOR

“My vision is to be able to give everyone an opportunity to have their own voice, opinion and image     within the Clyde Insider”
